Support Local Option Taxation for Public Transit!

Idaho is changing. More people are moving here to enjoy our quality of life. As more people call Idaho home, we'll see more and more traffic and more air pollution - unless we do something about it. Every community has a right to decide its own future.

Public transportation will be an important part of Idaho's future. Whether people ride the bus or drive, we all benefit from an effective public transportation system. It keeps cars off the road, reducing traffic for those who chose to drive. And it means less air pollution, leaving the air cleaner for all of us.

Moving Idaho Forward, a statewide coalition of individuals, businesses, and non-profits, is proactively trying to address increased traffic by offering communities the option of funding public transportation. This "local option tax" simply allows local governments to ask the community to vote on funding public transportation improvements.
